Happy Easter!

I hope you are all having a lovely Easter weekend!  I sure am!  It is perfect weather here on the Gold Coast!  I know I have eaten too much naughty stuff though and am actually looking forward to getting back on track tomorrow.  Yes I know it is Easter Monday, but that doesn’t mean I can’t go back to my normal healthy eating and I know I will feel better for it!

One thing I can honestly say is that because I don’t usually eat a whole lot of unhealthy stuff on a day to day basis, when I do have a few days off plan I really feel it now.  I guess I used to feel like that all the time.  Tired and sluggish and bloated.  I didn’t notice it though because it is how I always felt.  Now I only feel like that every now and then, so I really notice it when I do.  It is definitely a good reminder of why I don’t eat that way all the time.  As well as not wanting to be 180kg again!!

So today’s blog will be short & sweet – no pun intended!  It’s really just a reminder to enjoy this special time of year.  It is a time to take time out and make wonderful memories with special family and friends and part of that for so many of us involves food.  Try not to go overboard, but if you do indulge a little too much, draw a line in the sand and get back on that wagon.  It’s ready and waiting for you and you will feel so much better when you hoist yourself back up onto that seat and start heading in the right direction again.  I will be travelling on my wagon right beside you the whole way!
